Joining the AARP Network of Age-Friendly Communities

Joining the AARP Network of Age-Friendly Communities and the World Health Organization (WHO) Global Network of Age-Friendly Cities and Communities is to guide the City’s development to a more human scale, equitable, and sustainable community for all. AARP network will serve as a catalyst to educate, encourage, promote, and recognize improvements that make the City more supportive not only of our older residents but for residents of all ages. The World Health Organization (WHO) has developed a Global Network of Age-Friendly Cities and Communities to encourage and promote public policies to increase the number of cities and communities that support healthy aging and thereby improve the health, well-being, satisfaction, and quality of life for older Americans.
